Bio: I learned how to race and over the course of the next two seasons I did pretty well on a Honda Hawk and Suzuki SV650, which is where things started to look promising. From there I went to a 2005 Yamaha R6, a 4-cylinder, 600cc machine which is in the most competitive class here in the U.S. It took a season to get used to the bike (it's a bit different from riding a 650cc, twin-cylinder machine), but this past year I began to get the hang of it, winning races and two class championships (WERA's 600cc and 750cc Superstock classes), which was a very promising end to the season. The one thing I love about racing is it's not like every other sport. I’ve always played team sports like basketball and baseball growing up. Racing is different. Once the flag is thrown, it's all in the rider's hands and I love that aspect about it. But yet at this level, there is so much teamwork involved behind the scenes and before the race, it truly makes for a team sport and a great environment. Looking back, I would have never thought I'd be competing at this level when I first got into racing. I thought it would be something I'd just do for fun or as a hobby, but it's become much more than that. Looking forward, my goals are to go faster than I did last year. I want to win races, championships and ultimately compete at the highest level here in the U.S. on a 600 machine, which is in the AMA Supersport series. And without question, Honda East’s backing and brand new R6 will be a big part of working to make that happen. I can’t wait.

Bio: I never thought I would be a professional motorcycle racer. I just loved to do it. As an amature I won many national championships making racing that much better and more exciting. In 2003, when I was nominated for AMA Female Athlete of the year, I knew that I was promising to the sport and knew I wanted to keep going. So in 2004, I turned professional. After two years of bad crashes and injuries, I was starting to think I was not cut out for motorcycle racing, but after gaining all of my confidence back towards the end of the 2006 season and almost making the last round in 2006, I knew I was going to be strong in 2007. So I stuck it out for another year and made two grand national championship races making me only the 2nd female to ever earn a grand national number in the GNC class. I was so overwhelmed and excited. Since then, things have gone very well for me. One thing that I love about racing is beating the boys. It feels good to rub something in their faces. Other things that I enjoy about racing is the family atmosphere, the competition, being the only female in a male dominated sport, signing autographs, being a role model for women and young children, and most of all the speed. Racing flattrack lets me sometimes reach speeds up to 140 mph, and drafting on a mile is a whole 'nother story. Looking back, I would not change anything. I have to thank my parents for letting me do something that most parents would not think about letting there little boy do let alone their little girl. It has been a great experience and every time I go to a race, I live another dream.

Bio: I made the jump to street riding in the mid-80s, but soon found myself with a family which put a stop to most of my riding at that stage of life. It wasn't until ten years later that I was able to get back onto a sport bike. It was all fun and games until I came to the realization that the kind of riding I had become accustomed to was unsafe on the street, and that perhaps a better alternative was to once again venture into sanctioned racing. At first, I started with simply going to track days, but soon craved a more competitive venue. So, roadracing we went. I won a championship in Sr. Superbike in my first full year as a novice. The following year, I won the Formula 40 CCS Expert Championship and finished 2nd in other classes. 2005 was a tough year full of many mechanical failures. However, I still managed 2nd place in both Heavyweight Twin Superbike and Heavyweight Twin Superstock. In 2006, I was only able to race a limited schedule, but finished overall 2nd in B.O.T. and Sound of Thunder. 2007 saw another limited season, but I still managed overall 3rd place finishes in AHRMA Masters of the Midwest B.O.T. and Sound of Thunder. If all goes well in 2008, I will be competing in a full season in WERA and AHRMA on a brand new Aprilia RSV 1000R. I have been doing this a long time and still have a few good years left. It's one of those things: Once you are a racer, it is in your blood and never leaves...
